First let me apologize for being absent the past 2 weeks. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day; and all the spare hours I have when I'm not working job #1 or job #2 have been spent stitching orders for both my Etsy shop and the galleries where my pieces will soon be sold (more details on that in the next few weeks).
Alas it's the end of March and we still have crappy, cold weather here in N.E. Ohio. I think about the warm summer months each day...feeling the sun on my face, breathing in the smells of fresh cut grass and sweetly scented flowers...and WEARING MY FLIP FLOPS!!!! Hope you enjoy stitching this one....outside while wearing your flip flops. :)
P.S. You know the drill...just click the photo to get the FREE pattern.

Freebie Friday - March 15, 2013
If you know me in "real life" or follow my Facebook page, you know I've been running non-stop for the past several months with 80-90 hour work weeks (2 "paying" jobs and then Stitchnmomma). Unfortunately as time has gone by I've gotten out of my good habits of healthy eating & exercise to be replaced by convenient, processed foods and almost zero exercise. I've been feeling like crap and am angry with myself at losing track of my priorities and seeing the hard work I put into losing 40 pounds and getting my cholesterol into the good range, all through a healthy diet & exercise, starting to go by the wayside. I watched a few documentaries (Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead; Vegucated and Food Matters) on NetFlix this week while I was stitching an order, and they've given me the push I need to get back to it.
So you're probably wondering what this has to do with the normal free x-stitch pattern and where is it.
Well, I saw this pattern years ago and I thought of it for this week's post. Why? Because when I took a stitching/snack break while watching Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead I decided it would be a good idea to eat the rest of the bad food in the house (no, not all at one time and because I don't want to waste the $$ by throwing it out) and finished the last 1/3 pint of butter pecan ice cream. I mean how cute is she doing yoga with her bowl of ice cream sitting next to her? LOL! It's like eating something fattening while you're sitting on the couch watching a new exercise DVD for the first time because you want to see how hard it is. Admit it, most of us have done it!
You know the drill...if you want the pattern just click the photo. :)
P.S. Today is the Ides of March. I did look for an appropriate free pattern, like one of Julius Caesar, but couldn't locate one. Instead you got the "pleasantly plump" lady and her ice cream. Happy Stitching!

Freebie Friday - March 8, 2013
It's currently Thursday night at 11:15pm and it's been a loooong day of working both job #1 and job #2. While checking in on Facebook I saw one of my childhood friends is moving from Ohio to Arizona next week. That instantly gave me inspiration to find an appropriate xstitch pattern for this post.
Behold....Cacti!! :)

Freebie Friday - March 1, 2013
Today's freebie is a beautiful chart compliments of Blue Ribbon Designs. It's super cute and looks like it would be a relatively quick stitch. Think I just might need to stitch this one myself.
Here's a word from Belinda regarding her free design..."Please remember, this design is protected by copyright law - thank you for respecting my copyright." I also ask you to do the same. If you'd like her free pattern, just click the photo to go to the appropriate links. :)

Freebie Friday - February 15, 2013
Last week I was asked to find a "chook" aka chicken pattern, which I did. This week I was asked to find a Spring-y Garden pattern. Well, I found 12 of them. I came across a website that had a flower of the month for each month back in 2010. Since it IS February, I decided to feature the February flower...violets. It's so cute, and at only 63x63 stitches, it looks like it will be a relatively quick stitch.
If you're interested in this pattern, or seeing what the other 11 flowers are, just click the photo and you'll be directed to the designers website where you can download it for free.

Freebie Friday - February 8, 2013
I have been absolutely exhausted lately from working so many hours at my 2 paying jobs and am starting to have a real brain fog going on. Since I just couldn't figure out what to feature today, I asked last night on my Facebook page want patterns people wanted me to search for. A friend said a "chook", which I instantly had to ask what that was. Apparently in my brain fog I just wasn't getting that was a chicken and that's how you call them (or maybe because I've never spent any time on a farm).
Anywho...here's a free chicken pattern for you. In fact, it's a few chickens. Just click the photo. This is a site you need to register for, but the site is free and has free patterns everyday. I've stitched several of them over the years and have ALWAYS been happy with the quality of the patterns. :)

Superbowl XLVII
It's Superbowl Sunday! Whoop! Whoop! So how many of you will be stitching and watching football tonight? I'll be watching, but don't think I'll be doing any stitching at the same time. Personally I'm not a huge fan of professional football. I think most of them are overpaid whiners that think everything should be handed to them. Excuse me, I digress.
I know it's not a Freebie Friday, but I figured in honor of the big game, I'd find everyone a cute FREE football pattern. So what do you think of this one? Looks like it's a pretty quick stitch too. Enjoy!
Oh yeah, just click the photo to go to the pattern. :)
Oh yeah, and I'll be cheering for the San Francisco 49ers, not necessarily because I like them, but because they're playing against the Baltimore Ravens. And if you're from N.E. Ohio or a Cleveland Browns fan, you know you automatically cheer for ANYONE that is playing against the Ravens. Well, unless it's the Steelers and then that's a tough choice, lol!
If you're going to be watching, comment here and tell me what team you're cheering for. Let's see how many we have for each team.

Freebie Friday - December 14, 2012
I went to share the Freebie Friday post this morning on my Facebook page, and realized I never set one up to publish. Oops! So that meant as soon as I was home from an appointment I went in search of what I could share with you today.
One of my stitching friends recently became a new "Dog Mom" to a cute beagle puppy. As soon as I saw this pattern I knew I just had to share it with everyone. I'm sure she'll be downloading it to stitch later.
Just click the photo and you'll go to where you can download it. Enjoy and happy stitching! :)

Freebie Friday - December 7, 2012
I think most of you know I'm a VERY PROUD military mom. That also means as soon as I started planning today's post I realized it is Pearl Harbor Day.
In honor of the great country we live in, and all the brave men and women that defend us day & night, I found a patriotic pattern to share with you.
The pattern is brought to you by the fine folks at Military XStitch.com
If you're looking for a military insignia, then they are the shop for you! They have patterns available for all 5 branches (yes 5...the U.S. Coast Guard is technically a branch of the military) as well as the Military and Naval Academies.
If you want the pattern, just click the flag and you'll be taken to it on their fantastic site!

I know I have a lot of horse fans out there, so today I thought I'd try to find a nice horse pattern for you. And since it's also autumn here in the U.S., this one fits in nicely. It is called "A Quiet Ride" and it's free from the cross stitchers club. You will need to register for the site, but again, it's FREE and only takes a moment to register.
Just click the photo and you'll be taken to the site where you can get it. Happy Stitching! :)

I like to try to find different places that have free patterns available so you always have a good selection of choices. Today's free pattern comes from the DMC website. I've chosen one from their list of Christmas patterns. This one is called "Winter Landscape". You do have to register for the site, but it is FREE and only takes a quick moment to sign up.

Since this was National Cake Week over in the UK, I figured I needed to share a downloadable cake pattern with you.
There will be one slight difference from the pattern I created (on old software and can't fix it now) and this picture. I decided to add flames to the tops of the candles. If you want to do the same, just pick any bright orange and yellow for the flames and be creative. Just click the picture and you'll be taken to the file download site. Enjoy!

Freebie Friday - October 5, 2012
Alas it's time for my reader's favorite day of the week...Freebie Friday!
Even though the downloadable patterns have been a huge hit, I'm skipping one today as I didn't have time to get one ready. Instead I thought I'd share with you the page of free patterns available by Cross Stitch Crazy Magazine.

Just click the picture and it will take you straight through to the site. :)
