Shiba Inu Silhouette

Woof!  Woof!  I'm running in to tell you all about my latest silhouette design.  

After being on my extensive list for quite awhile, I'm pleased to finally have the Shiba Inu done and ready for purchase.

I stitched my model using  DMC #310 on a piece of "orange cream" evenweave fabric that was in my stash. Since I have my "Giganto" cone of black, you're going to be seeing a lot more of my silhouettes stitched using it.   Don't worry, I'll try not to be too boring and will through in some unexpected color every now and then.

Irish Wolfhound Silhuette Cross Stitch Pattern

I've been remiss in posting here for quite awhile.  My only excuse is after spending all day on the computer at my full-time job, I have zero desire to be on the computer nights and weekends.  I pretty much turn on my laptop at home 2 or maybe 3 times a month anymore.  And since I've released a few new patterns in the past couple of months, I'm going to spread out the posts over several days so I'm not bogging down anyone's email that subscribes to notifications.



Today I'll be sharing my Irish Wolfhound Silhouette.  This particular design was requested by Anita from Stitches From the Heart in San Antonio, TX while I was at their stitching camp in March.  It was a joy to stitch.  I stitched my model using DMC #645 on a 28 count Lugana fabric in "Haven" by Picture This Plus.  I loved this fabric so much, I plan on buying more to use with future designs!

Westie Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern

Today's finish was another requested breed...the West Highland Terrier, or as most people call it, the Westie.  I stitched it using DMC #762 on a piece of 32 count Belfast linen in "Hocus Pocus" by Hand Dyed by Stephanie.

Poodle Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern

Today's finish was another requested breed...the Poodle.  I stitched it using DMC #310 on a piece of 32 count Belfast linen in "Crystal Chablis" by Picture This Plus. 

When I was buying this fabric at my old LNS back in OH, Shelly the store owner, said she knew what the perfect design would be to stitch on it...a poodle.  She laughed when I told her that was exactly what I had in mind when I picked up the fabric.  Definitely love it and may just have to get some more.

Irish Setter Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern

Today's finish was another requested breed...the Irish Setter.  Oh heck, what am I talking about, they're ALL requested breeds, so thank you for your continued support and giving me new breeds to chart!  I stitched it using DMC #400 on a piece of 16 count Khaki colored Aida.  Some of the breeds I stitch just need to look as realistic as possible, and this was one of them.

Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern

Today's finish was another requested breed...the Yorkshire Terrier, or as most people call them, a Yorkie.  I stitched it using DMC #832 on a piece of 32 count Belfast Linen in "Glacier" from Picture This Plus.   

I really liked this color combination together.  I think you all know I'm not a fan of linen, but absolutely loved the color of the fabric.  Thankfully PTP has it available in other fabric options.  Now I'm just trying to think what else I can stitch on it so I know how much to buy.

Freebie Friday - December 14, 2012

I went to share the Freebie Friday post this morning on my Facebook page, and realized I never set one up to publish.  Oops!  So that meant as soon as I was home from an appointment I went in search of what I could share with you today.

One of my stitching friends recently became a new "Dog Mom" to a cute beagle puppy.  As soon as I saw this pattern I knew I just had to share it with everyone.  I'm sure she'll be downloading it to stitch later.
