Yes, yes, I know, I've been remiss in my pattern of the week posts. I hope you'll all be happy to hear that when I'm NOT working at jobs #1 or #2 that I AM busily stitching away on several custom orders. As I'm sitting here drinking my coffee this morning, I'm mentally scolding myself on neglecting my blog & followers.
I came across this kit when I was looking through my mom's Stitchery catalog. I find it stunning in such a simple way!! At $99.99 it is extremely expensive (in my opinion), but still a beauty I felt I needed to share with you. If you'd like to find out more about the kit, just click on the photo.
Happy Stitching!

Pattern of the Week - April 6, 2013
One of the first signs of Spring here in the U.S......seeing all the cute potted pansies available at the stores to buy. This was is just too cute not to share with everyone. If you're interesting in the kit (sorry, not just a pattern this week), just click the photo to be taken to where you can buy it. :)

Pattern of the Week - March 30, 2013
One of the things most people know about me is I'm an admitted chocolate addict. Dark chocolate is my absolute fave, especially if it has sea salt mixed in. Yum!!! So why not have yet another pattern that showcases your love of chocolate. This one is just too cute to pass up. If you're interested in the pattern, just click the photo to go to the website where you can purchase it.
And if you like supporting handmade and small businesses, click HERE to see the quick-stitch (I think about 9 hours) chocolate piece I designed a few years ago.

Pattern of the Week - March 9, 2013
I've been working a lot of crazy hours the past few months, which leaves no time for cooking or eating a "decent" meal (a lot of microwaved stuff & bowls of cereal for me). I love to cook, really enjoy food and am seriously missing having good meals that doesn't involve standing at the kitchen sink eating while waiting for Max to do his business so I can leave the house again!! That made me start thinking of Spring and Summer weather that is around the corner and a super yummy BBQ. This design is perfect for that.

Pattern of the Week - February 23, 2013
I was over browsing the new patterns at 123 Stitch the other day and came across this one. It's just so cute I knew I had to share it at some point as one of my patterns of the week. I think I would name him Giuseppe and then I'd be hungry for pizza the entire time I was stitching him, lol!

Pattern of the Week - February 16, 2013
It's currently 11:51pm on Friday night. I've been home from working both my full-time and part-time jobs today (a total of 13.5 hours on the clock) for just a few minutes and am waiting for Max to finish his "business" so I can go to bed. I figured now was a great time to get this post ready for in the morning. And after listening to all the young high school & college kids at job #2 tonight whine about how tough their lives are (oh my gosh...people don't wait on you hand and foot when you become an adult with responsibilities?! *gasp* Who would have known?!) I knew exactly what pattern would be my choice for pattern of the week.
I've actually stitched this piece before. And if you're a "fan" of my Facebook page, you might recognize it as my cover photo. It's the "Big Girl Panties" mouse pad kit by JanLynn. If you're interested in getting this fun to stitch piece, just click the photo for where you can get it. :)

Pattern of the Week - February 9, 2013
Firstly, to any of my friends/fans in the Northeast, I hope everyone is safe and WARM this morning with the pounding from the blizzard you received yesterday/overnight!!! <3 span="">3>
We have just a light dusting of snow here and it's really cold. I'm so not a winter person (just in case you haven't seen me say that before) and I constantly think of warmer and sunnier weather. The blackwork pattern I chose for this week is bright & bold and reminds me of an Andy Warhol painting. Just what someone needs on a dreary winter day!
The pattern is available from Nordic Needle. If you're interested in getting it, or seeing more information on it, just click the photo.

Pattern of the Week - February 2, 2013
Trying to decide on what is going to be the pattern of the week can sometimes be a chore. I often say I have cross stitch ADD (no offense meant to others) because sometimes I just can't concentrate and/or finish a project without jumping around to several others midstream. Finding the pattern of the week was just like that this week.
A lady in one of my Facebook groups was asking for a suggestion on a new bird pattern she should stitch. I thought that would be a great theme, so I went in search of bird patterns. I found a lovely new site (that I WILL share with you next week). When I was on that site I came across a gorgeous sunflower pattern, and you all know I just LOVE sunflowers!!! That was going to be my pattern of the week. Then as I started typing the post and put the day I remembered it is Groundhog Day and maybe I should feature one of those. Can you see my problem? LOL!
Unfortunately there are basically ZERO Groundhog Day patterns out there. I did come across this freebie over at Vee and Co. Cross Stitch Designs and decided this would be the pattern of the day. Just click the photo and it will take you to where you can download the pattern for FREE!! Enjoy and Happy Stitching! Oh yeah, and don't forget to check out another great stitching blog while you're there. :)

Pattern of the Week - January 26, 2013
We've been struck with more crappy, snowy weather here in N.E. Ohio. I guess unfortunately it's what I have to expect each year. With all the snow I wasn't able to take my normal Saturday morning walk with my sister outdoors, we had to go to the indoor mall this morning where we can walk for free. And as I was outside shoveling out the bottom of my driveway from where it was plowed in overnight, I was thinking about living somewhere warm, preferably near a beach. Thought this was a perfect pattern to go with my thoughts today. Hope you enjoy!! Oh, and if you're interested in buying the kit, just click the photo to go to the listing. :)

Pattern of the Week - January 12, 2013
I think by now everyone knows I consider myself to be a patriotic person. So when I was browsing through the new section of 123stitch.com I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to feature a lovely black & white version of Old Glory.

I'm not sure what's up that I'm feeling rather nostalgic lately, but this great baseball themed pattern seems to fit right in. What to find out more about it or purchase it? Just click the photo.

Pattern of the Week - December 22, 2012
I've been feeling under the weather this week and have still been trying to keep up with the massive work hours, the upcoming holidays and all my Stitchnmomma stuff, which has left me feeling rather brain-dead. Unfortunately that means I'm not always feeling inspired to make decisions. That's where my son's girlfriend came in this week. I had her give me themes and I searched out patterns from there. Here first theme was apples. I found this cute pattern at 123stitch.com that has a rather nostalgic feel to it. If you're interested in the pattern, just click the photo to go to the listing where it can be purchased.

Pattern of the Week - December 8, 2012
Today I'll be putting up the Christmas tree and it has me thinking about 2012 coming to an end and 2013 being a positive year for me. A New Year is always wonderful for fresh starts...not only with life in general, but new cross stitch starts. I thought this cute, little "Happy New Year" piece by Lizzie Kate would be a great (and easy to stitch) pattern just for the occasion.

Pattern of the Week - November 17, 2012
Whew! Saturday is almost over and I'm just getting around to my weekly post. So sorry about that, hope I didn't keep you waiting. :)
So this week it's not cross stitch, and it's not a pattern, but it's still needlework and beautiful!
One of the many designers I follow on Facebook is Emily Peacock. She shared a photo this morning of this gorgeous peacock one of her customers finished into a pillow. I decided instantly I needed to track it down and make it the pattern of the week.
The design is called "MidCentury Peacock" and is available as a needlepoint kit through her Etsy shop. If you're interested in learning more about it, just click the picture and you'll be taken straight to the listing.

Pattern of the Week - November 10, 2012
I was rather undecided this week (and a little rushed) on what I was going to select as the pattern of the week. Based upon the fact that Bromley Mountain in Vermont started making snow this week, I decided my theme would be "winter sports".
I quickly did a Google search to see what was out there, and wouldn't you know, my favorite online shop (well, besides my own, lol!) had a selection that was first on the list, so that's what I went with.
Aren't these snowmen just the cutest things??? And the pattern for all 6 of them is only $5.39 + shipping. Talk about a bargain! If you're interested in getting the pattern, just click the photo and you'll go straight through to 123stitch.com
And as a side note that's unrelated to stitching, I personally DON'T ski. In fact I'm not keen on snow at all. I'd say in this case, hate isn't too strong of a word to use. If I never had to leave my house when the white stuff is outside I'd be the happiest woman on earth.
So you may ask, why do I know what's going on at Bromley Mountain? Well, have you ever taken a ride in an alpine slide? If you haven't then you have no idea what you're missing! Did this the first time many, many years ago when I was a kid on Bromley Mountain. And sorry, that's not me in the photo. I got this from Bromley's website. :)

Pattern of the Week - November 3, 2012
Originally for this week's featured pattern I wanted to share something Scandinavian inspired. It's one of the hottest trends right now and after browsing through a separate insert in issue #257 of CrossStitcher Magazine I decided I wanted to see more of what's out there. I did a Google search and one of the top returns was Nordic Needle. I've been to that site many, many times so I knew there would be great selections.
Unfortunately I never made it to the beautiful red and white Scandinavian patterns I was expecting to browse. Instead this beauty was one of the first things I saw. I was instantly enthralled!
It's called "Celtic Flower" and is available at $8.99 for the pattern. I'm still torn on whether I'm going to order a copy for myself. The only thing that is holding me back is the fractional stitches. I loathe fractionals!! Somehow I don't think I'm alone in that feeling. Either way it's still a gorgeous pattern full of the vibrant colors I love. If you're interested in the pattern, just click the photo and you'll be taken straight to it where you can read more about it or purchase it.

Pattern of the Week - October 27, 2012
Every day I think about my dream of living in a rural Italian village,
living off the land, walking to the markets to get my daily needs and
designing and stitching for my full-time income. Unfortunately I know
it's most likely just a dream and will never be a reality, but I'm not
giving up on it. The more I think about it the more I want to be
there. With that I figured I'd share a beautiful pattern from Mystic
Stitch today, called "Tuscan Beauty", that depicts a couple of gorgeous stone houses that look
like these smaller villages. Just click the picture and you can get it on sale at 123stitch.com

Pattern of the Week - October 20, 2012
I've been working on the model for my "Swirled Heart" this week and have shared some pictures of it on Facebook and Twitter. I had a fellow tweeter reply to one of those shares complimenting me on the piece and asking me if it was an "AAN". I had no clue what they were talking about, so of course I went to Google, and I'm sooooo glad I did!
It turns out "AAN" is Alessandra Adelaide Needleworks. I'm absolutely in love with her designs!! I actually sat and scrolled through all 195 of them on the 123stitch.com site. I've added several of them to my wishlist. And since Halloween is right around the corner, I decided to use "Zucca" as my Pattern of the Week. Just click the picture and you'll go to where you can purchase the pattern. :)
