Money Monday - May 13, 2013
I thought I'd have a little fun with today's Money Monday. You ever watched the game show "Lets Make a Deal"? Well...that's what we're going to play today. Below are pictures of items sitting in my inventory I'd love to get rid of. Here's the rules....
1) Click on the picture of an item you're interested in and it will take you to the actual listing in my Etsy shop that has all the details on the item.
2) Use the "contact" button on that item to send me a message with your REASONABLE offer on what you'd like to pay for the item (shipping charges will NOT change from what is posted in the listing).
3) I will respond with whether I have accepted your offer.
4) If your offer HAS been accepted, the item will be reserved for you with the new price and payment will be required within 24 hours.
5) Any item that is not paid for within 24 hours will be taken off reserve and either listed for the next person or put back up for general sale.
Clear with the rules? Now let's start having some fun!!! :)

Money Monday - May 6, 2013
It's Monday again. The end of a beautiful weekend and the beginning of another long work week. However, we all have out stitching to get us through to the next weekend. :)
Today's bargain buy for you is one of my most popular patterns...The Sophisticated Lady silhouette. Not only can you get it at 50% off for the next 24 hours, but all of my patterns are now available via an instant digital download. What does that mean? After you pay, you'll get notification from Etsy that you can download the PDF version of the pattern with no waiting for me to send it to you in an email.
If you'd like to purchase this pattern, simply click on the photo and you'll be taken directly to the listing. Happy Stitching!

Money Monday - April 29, 2013
I can't believe how quickly the year is passing. It's the end of April and Summer is right around the corner...woohoo!!! I thought with the lovely Spring weather we've been having I'd do something bright & cheery for today's bargain item....a cheery hand-dyed fabric!
For the next 24 hours only, I'll be offering this beautiful dark blue violet (DMC #3746) 14 count hand-dyed Aida fabric. And to make it even better...there are 3 pieces available at this price!!! Just think of all the patterns you could stitch on a nice bold color like this.
If you want to grab one (or more) of these pieces at this great price, just click the photo to go to the listing in my Etsy shop. :)

Money Monday - April 22, 2013
It was a tough decision this weekend on which item would be the Money Monday deal at 50% off. Last week's went over like a ton of bricks, so I figured I need to do something good for everyone today. The item I picked is probably the most favorite of all the greeting cards I've stitched. Now only $3.75 she's quite the bargain. And if you decide to grab this deal, don't forget to check out the rest of the cards I have available in my shop and save even more with combined shipping.
P.S. If you want this deal, just click the photo to be taken to the listing.

Money Monday - April 15, 2013
Happy Tax Day! (to those in the U.S.) Did you remember to get your annual taxes filed on time????
The new Money Monday idea seemed to be a big hit last week, so I'll be continuing with this type of feature.
For this week I have selected the piece I used as the model for my "Electric Owl" pattern. There is more than 100 hours of stitching time in this mouse pad, so at a reduced price of $12.50 + shipping it is a HUGE bargain for someone!!! Remember, this reduced price of 50% OFF is good for 24-hours only, so if you want this baby, just click the photo to go to the listing where you can buy it. :)

Revamped Money Monday all new for April 8, 2013
It's been quite a while since I did any type of Money Monday post, and it's time to revamp. I have a TON of inventory I'd like to get rid of as I'm running out of room to store it all. Hence, I've decided that every Monday I will take one item from my Etsy shop and reduce the price by 50% for one day only. The item will vary each week and could be a "supply" item, one of my finished pieces that would be great for a gift, or some of my hand-dyed fabric. So let's get started!
Today's item is this needlepoint e-book cover that I picked up at Hobby Lobby thinking I would stitch it for my shop. It's been more than a year and I still haven't gotten around to it. You can see the original price was $39.99. It's been listed in my Etsy shop for more than 2 months at a price of $20.00. At this point I'd like to just move it out and make room for something else. It's new in the package and has never been opened. For the next 24 hours it will be just $10.00 + shipping. Nothing like getting something for 75% off the regular retail price!!
If you're interested in this item, just click the photo to go to the listing in my Etsy shop.

Guess where I'll be shopping this weekend?????
If you guessed JoAnn Fabric and Craft Stores then you are correct!!
I've scanned a portion of my recent mailer I received. Look at that...DMC floss at $.33/skein AND a 60% off one item coupon. Now I just need to decide what that one item is that I want to get a really good price on.
If you're in the U.S. and you're NOT receiving their flyers, I strongly suggest the next time you're in the store you sign up to receive it. The coupons alone are worth it.
Happy shopping!

Money Monday - October 22, 2012
Today's money savings tip for you has absolutely nothing to do with cross stitch, needlework or any type of crafting. Instead it is something that every single one of us has to buy...GROCERIES.
I thought I'd pass along a couple of websites I've been using to either get coupon savings or actual cash back into my PayPal account, all without ever having to print anything out and take to the store.
The first is Cellfire. This site attaches to your local grocery store rewards/loyalty card (if you have one) and will provide e-coupons where you don't have to clip anything out and take with you. All you have to do to register with some basic information and then either log into your cellfire account or grocery store website prior to shopping and simply click on the offers you'd like to have uploaded to your card. When you have your cashier swipe your rewards/loyalty card like you normally would, any e-coupons that have been loaded to your card will deduct from your bill just like a normal coupon.
The second site is SavingStar. This site works very similar to Cellfire, only instead of deducting from your grocery bill the savings accumulate in your account online and you can redeem them one of several ways: deposit into your bank account, deposit into your PayPal account, Amazon gift card or what I believe is a donation to AmericanForests.org. I can tell you I've personally been doing the deposits into my PayPal account. These are actual funds, nothing fraudulent or anything, and the money is in my account within a few business days of requesting it. I've personally earned $14.75 in the last several months. If you click here you will go to their page that lists all of their current participating grocery store chains.
Here's the best part...if you're really good about couponing & saving money, you can actually "stack" your deals to get an even better savings. Here's an actual example from my grocery shopping I did two days ago:
I bought a box of Cocoa Puffs Cereal for Zach. It wasn't on sale so I had to pay the regular price of $4.49/box. I had a Cellfire e-coupon for $.50, a cut out coupon for $.50 which my grocery store will double and then a SavingStar e-coupon also for $.50. That turned into a total savings on the box of $2.00 so I got his cereal for $2.49 instead of $4.49. Now if I was having a good week, the cereal would have been on sale too, but it didn't work out that way for me this time.
Now so you know, I'm not receiving any type of compensation for endorsing these sites, although it would be nice if they did that. I'm just passing along a way for everyone to save a few dollars here & there, which in today's economy can turn into a nice chunk of change at the end of the year. I hope you've found this information useful. Happy shopping! :)

This week's savings is brought to you by JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts.
They started a Moonlight Madness Sale yesterday and it runs through Saturday, October 20th. Unfortunately their ads don't say anything about floss or cross stitch fabric being on sale, but they do have sale pricing on items that us stitchers can still use....lighting and scissors, and at 50% OFF too!!!

Today I'm sharing a 50% off any one regularly priced item from JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts. The coupon doesn't expire until October 31st, so there's plenty of time left to use it. Just click the photo and you'll get a coupon to print.
Also, if you're on Facebook and you haven't "like" JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts yet, I highly suggest it as they post stuff like this quite frequently. :)

I'm so glad JoAnn's decided to do another 20% off your entire purchase coupon for this week, because I wasn't able to make it there last weekend.
If you click the picture of the coupon it should take you to their page where you can download and print it.
Happy Shopping!! :)

You just gotta love a good Coupon Commotion!
Yes, it's time for JoAnn Fabric & Crafts to have another one.
This one runs September 16 - September 22
If you go to their website you can download up to 6 different 50% off coupons. Plus, you can use these in conjunction with the ones you would have received in the mail if you're on their mailing list.
Now for me to get busy and see what I need to add to my stash and plan my shopping trip for next weekend!

Money Monday - September 3, 2012
I'm excited to announce that I will be a house artist at The Good Goat Gallery
in Lakewood, OH! Which means if you're local to N.E. Ohio you'll be
able to stop in and buy my items in person without having to view them
on a computer. Sorry, no patterns or fabric will be available there,
but you can find a variety of items from hand-stitched pendant necklaces
to several different styles of wall art to jazzed up desk accessories,
and who knows what else I'll stitch up.
Because I'll be doing a lot more stitching, I've had to make decisions on what's going to go on my already full scheduled and hand-dyed fabrics was the choice. I'll still be dyeing fabrics, but only when I need them for my own projects vs. the 10-20 hours I spend each weekend doing them now (and as stitchers we all know how much you can get done in an extra 10-20 hours). And because it's just silly to dye only one piece, I'll make a full batch and put the extras in my shop whenever I am dyeing.
So here's where the sale comes in. My drawers are currently overflowing with fabric and I need to make room for the supplies and finished items that will be for The Good Goat so I've decided a fabric clearance sale is in order. Prices have already been adjusted in my shop so no coupon codes are needed.
The discounts will start at 30% OFF and may or may not increase throughout the month of September. You can wait till the end and see if you get a better discount if you want, but I can't guarantee what stock will be available, as I typcially sell at least half of what I have on hand each time I do a sale. Want to see what fabrics I have on sale? Just click here. And remember, all fabric AND pattern purchases count towards our Customer Loyalty Program. Details are available within each listing in my shop. Oh, and I almost forgot, I still have all the FREE GIFTS available that I blogged about here.
And one last thing. Did you know we take credit cards in our shop so you don't have to worry about having a PayPal account? We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. It's a great way to take advantage of the fabric sale going on right now. ♥

Money Monday - August 20, 2012
Today's money savings deal I'm bringing to you comes from my friend Karen over at Purple Cats Corner on Etsy.
Now through August 25th, 2012 (this Saturday) she is offering BUY ONE GET ONE FREE on all of her prints. Just tell her in the notes to seller at checkout which print you'd like for free.
This is just one of twelve super cute prints she has available in her shop. Granted, I am a little partial to this one since it is one of my current WIPs that I'll be turning into a cross stitch pattern and will be available in my shop in the future.
Happy shopping! :)

Do you own a small business?
Do you have an upcoming sale you'd like to have featured here or some other money saving feature that would benefit my readers?
Just send an email to stitchnmomma@hotmail.com with details and a link to your shop, and I'll be more than happy to feature you. Your shop doesn't even have to be cross stitch related.
The fine print:
I reserve the right to refuse any shop that is in poor taste or would be considered offensive by my readers.

Money Monday - August 6, 2012
Today's money savings post will take us to another one of my favorite sites (yes, I do have to shop somewhere other than Stitchnmomma to get my supplies, lol!)...Nordic Needle.
Their sale section currently has 1,500+ items ranging in price from $.50 to $79.99! They have everything from fibers to fabrics, and clothing to kits.
I think this pattern is really cute, especially with Fall and Halloween right around the corner. If you're in a shopping mood, I suggest checking them out. Just click the photo and you'll go right to their sale section.
