Woof! Woof! I'm running in to tell you all about my latest silhouette design.
After being on my extensive list for quite awhile, I'm pleased to finally have the Shiba Inu done and ready for purchase.
I stitched my
model using DMC #310 on a piece of "orange cream" evenweave fabric that was in my stash. Since I have my "Giganto" cone of black, you're going to be seeing a lot more of my silhouettes stitched using it. Don't worry, I'll try not to be too boring and will through in some unexpected color every now and then.
If you're interested in this design, you can purchase it at any of these places.
Until the next time...Happy Stitching!

Irish Wolfhound Silhuette Cross Stitch Pattern
I've been remiss in posting here for quite awhile. My only excuse is after spending all day on the computer at my full-time job, I have zero desire to be on the computer nights and weekends. I pretty much turn on my laptop at home 2 or maybe 3 times a month anymore. And since I've released a few new patterns in the past couple of months, I'm going to spread out the posts over several days so I'm not bogging down anyone's email that subscribes to notifications.
Today I'll be sharing my Irish Wolfhound Silhouette. This particular design was requested by Anita from Stitches From the Heart in San Antonio, TX while I was at their stitching camp in March. It was a joy to stitch. I stitched my model using DMC #645 on a 28 count Lugana fabric in "Haven" by Picture This Plus. I loved this fabric so much, I plan on buying more to use with future designs!

Llama Silhouette Cross Stitch Silhouette
All you fellow bloggers out there...do you have a day where you KNOW you need to write something, but you just can't wrap your brain around it? Well, I'm having one of those days. Instead of sitting here wanting to bang my head against my laptop trying to thinking of something witty to say about my latest silhouette design, I'm going to keep it short, sweet and to the point.
This is my new silhouette design. It is a llama. I named him Llarry (yes, with 2 Ls and 2 Rs) while I was stitching him. He was created using DMC #310 on 28 ct. "DaVinci" by Picture This Plus.
If you like him, you can buy him at any of these places.
Until the next time, when hopefully I'm felling more literary...Happy Stitching!

T-Rex Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern
I have a new silhouette today, and it's not a dog! Woohoo!
I've been racking my brain for quite awhile trying to figure out what I could stitch for my son's GF. I used the Green Camo Alphabet model as a gift for Zach and the Pink Camo Alphabet model as a gift for his GF's daughter, but for the life of me couldn't think of what I could stitch that she'd like. Then one day in early December when I was working on a more extensive list of silhouettes (nothing but dogs was getting boring), the light bulb went off. And voila...we have a new silhouette in the family!
I stitched it using DMC #310 on a piece of 32 count Belfast linen in "Monster Mash" by Picture This Plus. And because it was a gift, I went against my norm for silhouettes and sent it off to SnowBerry NeedleArts for a creative finish. The GF received the pillow this week, so I can finally release the pattern without fear of her seeing it somewhere online.

Poodle Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern
Today's
finish was another requested breed...the Poodle. I stitched it
using DMC
#310 on a piece of 32 count Belfast linen in "Crystal Chablis" by Picture This
Plus.
When I was buying this fabric at my old LNS back in OH, Shelly the store owner, said she knew what the perfect design would be to stitch on it...a poodle. She laughed when I told her that was exactly what I had in mind when I picked up the fabric. Definitely love it and may just have to get some more.

Butterfly Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern
Today's finish isn't technically a new finish. Recently I've been going through my older designs that were originally created with software purchased in 1996 and converting them to my new software so they can be released to my wholesaler and other online retailers. My butterfly silhouette was one of my most popular patterns when my Etsy shop was open. In fact, if you click here, you can see an album I've started of pics people have shared with me of their stitched butterflies. I stitched two models for it. The one I'm using for the cover photo was done in Weeks Dye Works "Aqua" on a 14 ct Fiddlers Cloth.

Billy Goat Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern
The other morning I had one of those SMH (smack my head) moments. I was going through my spreadsheet of patterns so I could schedule some design of the day posts over on my Facebook page and I realized that even though I released my Billy Goat Silhouette design back in 2012, it was never uploaded to my wholesaler's site! I don't know how many times I've looked at that spreadsheet in the past 2-1/2 years and have never noticed it. Yikes!
Either way, this pattern along with all my other silhouettes (which can be found here)
is now available for purchase at your local needlework shop or various

Boston Terrier Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern
Who says you can't have a blue dog? I did, because you know me and my bold colors I like to use!
Today's finish was a requested breed...the Boston Terrier. I stitched it using DMC #791 on a piece of hand-dyed Cornflower Blue jobelan fabric.

Schnauzer Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern
Gosh, I hope you're not getting bored with silhouettes, because I have another. Don't worry, after I completed this one I took a break to start on the next piece in my Modern Dictionary series, so you'll be seeing some different designs from me soon. And for those of you that are liking the silhouettes, I have more coming.
Today's finish was a requested breed...the schnauzer. I stitched it using DMC #310 on a piece of hand-dyed Medium Bright Turquoise aida fabric. I wish the color would show properly in the photo, as it's a gorgeous color that matched DMC #3845.

Rabbit Silhouette Cross Stitch Pattern
If you follow my Facebook page, then you already know I've been on a run of silhouette designs lately. It was brought along by a bad news / good news situation. Bad news: my stupid hospital bill from last summer forced me to get a second job, again. Good news: when it's slow, my boss doesn't care if I do my stitching, as long as my work is getting done. That's where the silhouettes come into play.
To make stitching at work easier, I do the first leg of the stitches and all the counting at home. Then when I'm at work I do the second leg of stitches, with no counting needed and don't have to worry about getting distracted by the "paying job" and mess something up. Besides that, I don't have to worry about carrying the chart with me either.
So here's my latest finish. A cute bunny rabbit silhouette. I stitched it using DMC #610 on a 28 count Antique Copper evenweave. I wish the color of the fabric would show better as it's a beautiful green color with copper/bronze undertones when the light hits it a certain way.
This pattern along with all my other silhouettes (which can be found here) is now available for purchase at your local needlework shop or various online retailers. If you don't want to do a Google search, just click here for a current list of those places.
If you're a retailer and would like to stock this design, or any of my others, you can purchase here.
I should have another finish in the silhouette series in the next week or so, and will be sure to share it then. In the meantime as a little tease, I'll tell you it's another dog breed.
Happy Stitching! :)
