One of the downsides of living in a one-bedroom apartment is not having a lot of closet/storage space. Couple that with not wanting to have a bunch of "clutter" around (blame that on parents that are hoarders), means I'm running out of room for all my design models.
I've been holding onto my models for the pasts couple of years in case some retail shop out there wanted to do a trunk show of my designs, but that hasn't happened. That means good news for any of you that have seen one of the wonderful finishes done by SnowBerry NeedleArts and wanted it for yourself. :)
Yesterday I listed 40 different pieces in my Etsy shop and re-opened it for one week only to try to find new homes for some of them so I'll have room in my closet for new models. My shop will be open through Sunday April 10th and will be closed (or technically put on "vacation mode") until the next time I do a sell-off.

I can't believe how quickly the year is passing. It's the end of April and Summer is right around the corner...woohoo!!! I thought with the lovely Spring weather we've been having I'd do something bright & cheery for today's bargain item....a cheery hand-dyed fabric!

Revamped Money Monday all new for April 8, 2013
It's been quite a while since I did any type of Money Monday post, and it's time to revamp. I have a TON of inventory I'd like to get rid of as I'm running out of room to store it all. Hence, I've decided that every Monday I will take one item from my Etsy shop and reduce the price by 50% for one day only. The item will vary each week and could be a "supply" item, one of my finished pieces that would be great for a gift, or some of my hand-dyed fabric. So let's get started!
Today's item is this needlepoint e-book cover that I picked up at Hobby Lobby thinking I would stitch it for my shop. It's been more than a year and I still haven't gotten around to it. You can see the original price was $39.99. It's been listed in my Etsy shop for more than 2 months at a price of $20.00. At this point I'd like to just move it out and make room for something else. It's new in the package and has never been opened. For the next 24 hours it will be just $10.00 + shipping. Nothing like getting something for 75% off the regular retail price!!

I've scanned a portion of my recent mailer I received. Look at that...DMC floss at $.33/skein AND a 60% off one item coupon. Now I just need to decide what that one item is that I want to get a really good price on.

I'm excited to announce that I will be a house artist at The Good Goat Gallery
in Lakewood, OH! Which means if you're local to N.E. Ohio you'll be
able to stop in and buy my items in person without having to view them
on a computer. Sorry, no patterns or fabric will be available there,
but you can find a variety of items from hand-stitched pendant necklaces
to several different styles of wall art to jazzed up desk accessories,
and who knows what else I'll stitch up.
Because I'll be doing a lot more stitching, I've had to make decisions on what's going to go on my already full scheduled and hand-dyed fabrics was the choice. I'll still be dyeing fabrics, but only when I need them for my own projects vs. the 10-20 hours I spend each weekend doing them now (and as stitchers we all know how much you can get done in an extra 10-20 hours). And because it's just silly to dye only one piece, I'll make a full batch and put the extras in my shop whenever I am dyeing.
So here's where the sale comes in. My drawers are currently overflowing with fabric and I need to make room for the supplies and finished items that will be for The Good Goat so I've decided a fabric clearance sale is in order. Prices have already been adjusted in my shop so no coupon codes are needed.
The discounts will start at 30% OFF and may or may not increase throughout the month of September. You can wait till the end and see if you get a better discount if you want, but I can't guarantee what stock will be available, as I typcially sell at least half of what I have on hand each time I do a sale. Today I'm sharing some savings from one of my favorite craft stores...Hobby Lobby!
If you've never been to your local Hobby Lobby, I highly recommend it. Not only do they have a fantastic selection of craft items, but they also have some home decor and party supplies.
Lucky for me there is one right around the corner from my office that I literally have to drive by 10x/week (on the way to & from work). I'm a regular customer in there, normally several times per week and many of the employees know me by name, lol!
