Work in Progress Wednesday - 8/19/09

One of the reasons why I started this blog was to give my customers a sneak-peek of the new projects I'm working on. So far I haven't done a very good job of doing that. I will now be starting WIP Wednesday, which will be posted at least 2x/month.

Today I will be featuring 3 projects I'm currently working on:

The first is "My Christmas Wish to You" pattern. It is the only one of my patterns I haven't fully stitched. My friend Bev and I have been having a disagreement on whether I'm giving it to her when I'm done (my vote) or if she is paying me for it (her vote).
The second is the winner of the "Pick my Next Pattern" blog...the white tulips. Unfortunately I haven't gotten very far on this one. I had put it aside to do some smaller finished items that are currently listed in my shop to help alleviate the comments of "more selection, more selection".

Lastly is an alternative cross stitch I'm working on. Not something I normally do, but the idea came to me. I did a little research and found there should be a market it for it, so I figured I would just go with it. With any luck, this one should be done and posted before I go to bed this Sunday night, so I won't say much more about it, you'll just have to check out my shop next week to see the finished piece.

Hope this has given you all an idea of what I'm doing when I'm typing in the forums "I'm off to do more stitching".
Have a Happy Hump Day!! :)

  2. I love the Work in Progress Wednesday idea! It is nice to see how projects evolve and learn a little about fellow crafters. I usually try to finish projects in one sitting (I'm very impatient like that) so there really isn't time for in progress pictures, but it is nice to see other people's pics never the less!

  3. Goodness, if I could finish projects in one sitting I'd be a happy camper! Some of my cross-stitches take me 3+ months to do, and that is when I stith every day. The white tulips has 15,000 stitches in it, so I know that will be one that is popping up on my blog as a WIP for quite a while.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I love reading the comments people post! :)
