I've Found a U.F.O.

I was digging through my closet where I keep SOME of my cross stitch stash and I came across a U.F.O. (unfinished object) I had completely forgotten about. I started it YEARS ago (like more than 12 when I lived in a different house) for my middle sister that no longer speaks with me. I guess it will make a really good project to finish and put in my Etsy store. I'm sure there's someone out there that will like it.

Hope everyone had a Happy 4th and wasn't kept up until 2am with neighborhood fireworks like I was! :)

I'm Learning

I used to think I was cool with the technology thing...I use a computer almost all day at work. I'm quickly finding out as I'm getting older and technology is rapidly changing that there is a big difference between word processing, spreadsheets, power point, etc. and everything else going on (facebook, twitter, blogs, etc.).

I'm excited that one of my Etsy colleagues helped me with actually linking my store to my blog!! No more constantly having to insert a hyperlink for people to click on. You can now see items available in my store located in the top right corner of my blog.

Hope you guys find it easier to use! :)

Help Pick My Next Pattern

I'm currently undecided on which project to tackle as my next pattern (after I finish "Radiant Rose") that will go up for sale on my Etsy online store. So I thought I would take it to you, my customers, and let you decide which one you would like to see available soon.

Simply post a comment on this blog and give me your vote as to which of the below pictures you would like for me create a pattern from (and kit)...PURPLE PANSIES, WHITE TULIPS or COLORFUL CELTIC CROSS.

Work-in-Progress: "Radiant Rose"

I'm getting to the point of being antsy. I'm a good 75% of the way done with my current project and I can't wait until it's finished! It will be my next piece up for sale on my Etsy store (http://stitchnmomma.etsy.com/).

Unfortunately it's been a little slower finishing than I'd like. Darn work! Such a drag to have to get up and go to the office everyday when I could be at home stitching! OK, not every day is like that. I can truly say I have a job I love. However, I would love to be able to support myself off my passion for cross-stitch. What's the saying..."good things come to those who wait". I'm waiting....

Stan Hywet Needlework Guild Salad Supper

Last night I attended my first meeting of the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild since November 2008. Oh how I've missed the meetings! We had a wonderful Stitch-in/Salad Supper/Book Sale. It was fantastic to see all my fellow stitchers I've missed as well as hear about and see all the exciting projects in the works for the Stitchery Showcase coming up in October 2009.

I picked up my piece on Memorial Day that I'll be entering this year. I've included a pic as a little sneak-peek for you. If you want to see it in person, you really need to attend the Stitchery Showcase. It is the 1st weekend in October at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron, OH.

Until the next time...happy stitching!!
